Will it play in Peoria?

Well folks, with the midterm elections right around the corner, we should all be thinking hard about the values that motivate us to choose who will represent us.  I’ll make this contribution to the discussion:

I don’t watch RealCatholic TV and have only seen this guy Michael Vorhis once before, but a friend and IC reader sent this to me and I thought it blogworthy.  It’s refreshing to hear someone so bold and forthright about his faith.  He has a great line in here too, referring to SCOTUS Justice Harry Blackmun (a liberal Methodist) as “a man who has so far dissented from a religion of dissenters”.

He makes some good points here, defending orthodox Catholic politicians from the latent and blatant anti-Catholicism they’re being subjected to.
