For those who hadn’t heard, the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, are making a repeat appearance on Oprah this afternoon. The sisters were the focus of an episode back in February, and the response was apparently so positive that they were asked back again. According to the sisters:

We have accepted this invitation in the hopes of reaching an audience we might not otherwise reach with the witness of our life and the Gospel.

It looks like they may already be doing just that: The happy, faithful, young sisters on the first episode showed that religious life looks nothing like the caricature most people carry around in their heads. Even Oprah (not exactly a traditional religious believer) seemed completely fascinated and charmed by them — hence the follow-up.

I’m looking forward to seeing the sisters in action today. (Check here for local listings.) God bless them and their efforts!
