“The culmination of one childhood, and the beginning of another.” Fantastic stuff, Doc.

“It is the culmination of one childhood, and the beginning of another.”  This beautiful chiasmatic flourish reminds me of the reason I love the Latin language – because it has given us the word “matrimony” – meaning, “mothermaking”.

Thank you for this definition of matrimony.  Venerable Arhbishop Fulton J. Sheen adds that purity is love awaiting fruitfulness.  Chastity is ordered to producing stable, faithful, child-rich families.  Chaste love directs the energy of sexuality to the challenging, but life-renewing, activity of begetting and raising children… and leading them to the Author of life.  “Sinite parvulos et nolite eos prohibere ad Me venire.”
