  • IC Fundraising Drive — Day 2!

    by Brian Saint-Paul

ic_ipad_iconAs you’ve probably noticed from the Home page, we’re conducting an InsideCatholic fundraising drive this week. I hope you’ll participate. While we offer our articles, columns, and blog posts free of charge — unlike a print magazine — that doesn’t mean that they’re free to us.

Running an online publication is an expensive business — we have to pay writers, staff, web hosts, site programmers, insurance companies, bulk emailers and photo services. While we’re able to keep our overhead low through efficiency, home offices, and technology, we still have costs. And because of the weak economy, they’ve gotten harder to meet.

That’s why we need your help.

Believe me, I don’t like asking for money. In fact, it’s high up on my list of Things To Avoid (it falls between “Bear wrestling” and  “Attending a James Taylor concert.”). But the fact is, we need your support.

If you read our early January announcement, or had a look at our vision for the next InsideCatholic, you know we’re refocusing our editorial so it better meets the needs of the Church right now, while at the same time, transitioning to the next generation of publishing.

We’re doing this because this is a genuine mission to us — it’s not just a job. The world needs the transformative wisdom of Catholicism, and we’re here to help bring it to them.

But we need you to stand with us in doing so. Can we count on you?

Below, you’ll find the magic buttons, offering three ways to support us. Please click on one of them, and give whatever you think is reasonable. May the Lord bless you for your generosity and commitment to spreading His truth.
