Taking 3D to New Heights

No, I’m not talking about Cameron’s latest “Absolute Shoe-In for Best Visual Effects” epic, or anything involving Hannah Montana. (OK, that Miley Cyrus one — the previous record holder for 3D Digital releases — is probably more of a “lowpoint” than a “height,” but I couldn’t help throwing it in there. Studios will do just about anything in 3D, apparently.)

I’m talking about taking a 3D movie camera out into space to document the repair of a device already responsible for producing some of the most breathtaking images I’ve ever seen: the Hubble Space Telescope.

I’m at a bit of a loss as to why Leonardo DiCaprio would be selected to narrate anything while James Earl Jones is still alive. But that’s an objection one could level against nearly all documentaries, I suppose.
