Admittedly, I like Lady Gaga, or used to like her. She reminds me of a type of a younger Madonna – someone who is theatrical, a rule breaker, line crosser but talented and able to reinvent herself.
Lately, however, her theatrics have become increasingly bizarre in a way that is following the trend toward S&M with androgynous themes. Her latest video, Alejandro, mixes explicitly Catholic themes and costumes. (Warning: this is offensive) [video:http://vodpod.com/watch/3791545-lady-gaga-alejandro 100×100]
None of this really moves me one way or the other – I guess I’ve become inured and don’t care to watch Gaga videos, along with a host of others.

So, I wonder if the news that Gaga has signed a convent of cloistered nuns from the Abbaye de Notre Dame de L’Annociation near Avignon, France, is another Madonna-like twist, or if her interest in the nuns’ music, and what it offers is genuine?
