Happy New Year, IC readers! We’ve been taking it slow here over the holidays, and today will be no different — but we’ll be back with a vengeance in 2011. - It wouldn’t be an end-of-year post without a few “best of” lists, so in that spirit, here is Roger Ebert’s “Best Films of 2010,” NPR’s exhaustive best-in-music lists (pop, classical, jazz, and more), and — simply because I fully endorse his selections of Helprin and Reilly — “All Manner of Thing”‘s favorite books. What was your favorite in arts and culture this year?
- It also wouldn’t be the new year without prognostications about what lies ahead in 2011. Joe Carter’s “Predictions for 2011” may not be the most likely, but they are certainly the most entertaining.
